In a huri to get to Uri Buri

Today we leave TA and head north.

After a breakfast of green shashuka

we hop into Ami's car and head towards Akko. Ami is on tenterhooks as tomorrow is election day and he is concerned about the baddies taking power.
Traffic is horrendous but we eventually arrive in Caesarea a favourite stopping off place for the many US evangelical tours; they believe among other things that the earth is 6000 years old, that they are the real Jews, that since the Jews are now back in Israel there is now the end of times and there will be a big war between the goodies(them) and the baddies(everybody else) and then we all go to heaven or something. There are only about 50 million of these nut jobs in the US and I believe they are all big Trump supporters.
Caesarea was built by King Herod(the infanticider) whose other claims to fame was murdering 3 wives and a whole lot of his kids. Anyway it is quite a droll little port and city.

Early Versace effort

We stop off at a Palestinian sculptor guy's workplace but he is far too busy to talk to us. You can order a commission from him for a cool US$125K.

We then drive off to somewhere where they found a whole lot of old stuff left there by someone long time ago.

We drive into the mountains to a Druze village-they are another weirdo minority group with their own set of fucked up beliefs, but they are damn good cooks, so we stop for lunch which is tip top!

We then stop off at the Haifa Bahai gardens(another weirdo sect)

Then we visit Achmad the Palestinian artist-a terribly nice chap who shows us around his gallery and collection

and then we drive to Akko aka Acre where tonight we dine fabulously at Uri Buri
