Failing at sailing
Today we have a day trip on a yacht. I immeditely ingratiate myself with the"skipper" when I come on board and say"shiver my timbers"; we form a bond which only 2 seasoned mariners could have. I admire the steering wheel on the boat and it's on for young and old. Unfortunately there is no wind so we progress with diesel power-how dissapointing as I was hoping to go up the yard-arm(whatever that is).
No slippery dip for us😭
Our skipper is the strong silent type-actually he wasn't that strong but made it up by being very silent. We bought along ftira for lunch which is a round bread filled with delicacies
-unfortunately our bread is only filled with more bread! We soon get the hang of tapping the biscuits to shake out the weevils. We set anchor at the idyllic blue lagoon;
completely isolated apart from the 3000 screaming tourists.
After our meagre lunch we head back to the Grand Harbour, zig zagging to avoid the frequent cannonballs.
